JAMMU: The National Sikh Front, under the leadership of Chairman S. Varinderjeet Singh, has warmly welcomed the United States government’s historic decision to dedicate a street in Fremont, California, to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru. The U.S. government’s recognition of his contributions through the naming of 'Guru Tegh Bahadur Avenue' is a proud moment for Sikhs worldwide. This honor not only highlights Guru Ji’s teachings but also strengthens the global dialogue on religious tolerance and human rights.”

The dedication ceremony, which coincided with Shaheedi Diwas (Martyrdom Day) of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was attended by U.S. officials, interfaith leaders, and Sikh community members. It featured prayers, cultural performances, and discussions about the Guru’s message of compassion, equality, and justice. Chairman S. Varinderjeet Singh emphasized the importance of such events in fostering global understanding of Sikh values and their universal relevance.

Chairman NSF whle Describing this milestone as a reminder of the Sikh community’s contributions to global peace and harmony, he called on other nations to follow the U.S. example, integrating Guru Ji’s principles into educational and cultural initiatives to promote tolerance and mutual respect.

“By dedicating a street to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the United States has demonstrated its commitment to diversity and human rights,” added Chairman S. Varinderjeet Singh. “This act will inspire countless individuals worldwide to uphold the values of freedom and equality.”
