KISHTWAR: A political deputation comprising members of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) from Dachhan, Thakrie and Nagseni and led by District President Ravi Parihar met with Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma here today in his office chamber at the Mini Secretariat, New DC Office Complex Kishtwar. Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kotwal was also present on the occasion.

The deputation put forth various demands and grievances before the Deputy Commissioner, seeking early commissioning of Kishtwar Airport, check on dust pollution in Dool area due to overloading of dumpers of HEPs, expediting pace of construction work of High School Kiyar-Dachhan, early construction/restoration of the wooden bridge at Surnoo, Dachhan, damaged due to recent cloudburst.

They also demanded compensation for livestock loss and damaged agricultural land due to cloudburst in the Dachhan area. The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the genuine demands will be looked into on priority.
