JAMMU: BJP Jammu & Kashmir Spokesperson Rajni Sethi today extended her heartfelt congratulations to the people of Jammu & Kashmir, the Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, security forces, civil administration, and devotees from across the country on the remarkable success of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
Expressing satisfaction over the unprecedented response to the annual pilgrimage, Rajni Sethi stated that the crossing of the three-lakh pilgrim mark within just twelve days of the commencement of the Yatra on July 3, 2026, is a powerful testament to the unwavering faith and devotion of millions of devotees towards Lord Shiva.
She said that the extraordinary enthusiasm witnessed during the pilgrimage reflects the spiritual strength of the nation and reaffirms that faith remains one of the strongest forces uniting people across regions, languages, and communities. According to her, the overwhelming participation of devotees demonstrates that the sacred bond between devotees and Baba Amarnath continues to grow stronger with every passing year.
Referring to the Pahalgam terrorist attack of 2025, Rajni Sethi said that enemies of peace had hoped to create fear and uncertainty in the minds of devotees and discourage people from visiting Jammu & Kashmir. However, the massive turnout of pilgrims this year has delivered a clear and decisive message that terrorism can never defeat faith and that the spirit of India remains stronger than any attempt to spread fear.
“The devotion and determination displayed by the pilgrims is a resounding declaration that our faith will never bow before terror. Despite repeated attempts by Pakistan-sponsored terror networks to disturb peace and normalcy, devotees from every corner of the country have arrived in record numbers to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani. This overwhelming participation symbolizes the victory of faith over fear, hope over intimidation, and unity over the forces that seek to divide our nation,” she said.
Rajni Sethi appreciated the tireless efforts of the Government of India, Jammu & Kashmir Administration, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces, Jammu & Kashmir Police, health and emergency services, and thousands of volunteers who have worked round the clock to ensure the smooth, safe, and successful conduct of the pilgrimage.
She noted that significant improvements have been made in infrastructure and pilgrim facilities along the Yatra routes. Enhanced security arrangements, better medical care, improved transportation, upgraded accommodation facilities, sanitation measures, and efficient management systems have greatly contributed to the comfort and safety of devotees undertaking the sacred journey.
Rajni Sethi further stated that every year lakhs of devotees eagerly await the commencement of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and consider it a privilege to undertake this spiritually enriching pilgrimage. The remarkable response witnessed this year once again underlines the immense religious and cultural significance of the Yatra in the lives of millions of Indians.
She described it as a matter of immense pride for Jammu & Kashmir that devotees from every part of the country continue to visit the Union Territory in large numbers, strengthening the bonds of national unity, brotherhood, and cultural harmony.
