JAMMU: Reaffirming his commitment to ensuring quality infrastructure and effective implementation of developmental projects, MLA Jammu North Sham Lal Sharma today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the ongoing development works being executed by the Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED) under the SASCI Scheme in Ward No. 65, Patoli Brahmana and Ward No. 67, Muthi of Jammu North Assembly Constituency. During the visit, the MLA undertook an on-site assessment of the progress of the works, reviewed the pace of execution and examined the quality of construction being carried out.

During the inspection, Sham Lal Sharma interacted with the departmental engineers and issued necessary directions for ensuring timely completion of all works without compromising on quality. He instructed the executing agencies to strictly adhere to approved technical specifications and maintain the highest standards of workmanship at every stage of execution. Emphasizing accountability in public expenditure, he stated that every single penny of public money must be utilized judiciously, transparently and in the larger public interest, ensuring that every development project results in durable public assets and delivers lasting benefits to the people.

The MLA observed that continuous field inspections and close monitoring of developmental works are essential to ensure quality execution and effective implementation of public projects. He reiterated that strengthening civic infrastructure, improving drainage systems, upgrading roads and providing better public amenities remain among his foremost priorities. He further assured the residents that all ongoing projects across Jammu North Assembly Constituency would continue to be regularly monitored to ensure timely completion and adherence to the highest standards of quality.

The MLA was accompanied by Mandal President Shri Pankaj Padha; Shri Vijay Sharma and Shri Suraj Singh, AEE, UEED Shri Sunil Thapa; AE, UEED Shri Amandeep Sharma other  departmental officials and local residents. The officers briefed the MLA on the status of the ongoing works and assured him that the projects would be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the prescribed standards of quality and execution.
