JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu–Kashmir General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, inaugurated a new branch of Capital Small Finance Bank at Digiana, Jammu. The event witnessed the presence of senior bank officials, staff members, social activists, members of the business community, and a large number of residents.

Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, Billawaria said that Capital Small Finance Bank has been consistently working over the years to deliver simple, reliable, and accessible banking services to the common people, small traders, farmers, and entrepreneurs. He highlighted that the bank is already operating successfully in Kathua and Jammu city, and the opening of the new Digiana branch marks yet another significant step in its expansion.

Bilawaria expressed confidence that the new branch will ensure better and more convenient access to financial services for the people of the region. He added that the branch will not only simplify financial transactions but will also support small traders, startup entrepreneurs, and youth in strengthening economic activities in the area.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of financial inclusion, Billawaria said that the central government is committed to ensuring that banking services reach the last person in society without any discrimination. He noted that various initiatives, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, the promotion of digital payments under Digital India, and the MUDRA scheme for small entrepreneurs, reflect the government’s focus on connecting every citizen to the formal banking system.

Billawaria further emphasized that sustainable economic development in any region is possible only when adequate banking facilities are available. The new branch, he said, will create local employment opportunities, boost small-scale businesses, and bring significant improvement to the region’s economic activities.

During the event, bank officials announced that the Digiana branch will offer a full range of modern and secure banking services, including digital banking, micro loans, savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, and more. The bank reiterated its commitment to delivering transparent, reliable, and prompt services to customers across all sections of society.

The bank management extended special thanks to Baldev Singh Billawaria and assured that the bank will continue to uphold the trust of local residents while contributing positively to the region’s development.
