KISHTWAR: In order to transform Block Kishtwar into a cleaner, greener, and healthier space, various intiatives have been taken by the Block Development Officer (BDO) Kishtwar Sanjeev Kumar Kotwal, including cleanliness drive under the Swachhata Pakhwada.

The drive included effective cleaning of legacy waste sites in the jurisdiction of Block Kishtwar, making the area more hygienic and environmentally friendly, successful implementation of daily door-to-door domestic garbage collection, ensuring a significant reduction in waste accumulation, regular cleaning of dustbins, maintenance of hygiene at Langar Points, Mandir, and historic heritage sites like chowgan ground kishtwar, Implementation of SGLR at Hotels and Lodges in Kishtwar, promoting eco-friendly practices and waste management, effective collection of plastic waste at the block level, contributing to a cleaner environment.
