KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today disbursed labour compensation to applicants in two separate cases under Section 4 of the Employees' Compensation Act, reaffirming the district administration's commitment to the welfare and rights of workers.

The compensation cheques were presented to the Deputy Commissioner by the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Kupwara, Rahil Amin  and were subsequently disbursed to the concerned applicants.

Two Cheques of amount of Rs 15,37,704 and Rs15,28,875 were disbursed among two applicants as a Compensation. The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the administration's resolve to ensure the timely settlement of labour compensation claims and to safeguard the interests of workers in accordance with the provisions of the Employees' Compensation Act.
