SRINAGAR: Police in Kulgam have seized 02 Tractors and arrested their drivers for involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of mineral. Acting on reliable information, a police party led by SHO Police Station Kund, seized two tractors along with the illegally extracted material at Kanchloo Crossing Kund. The accused drivers have also been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 29/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police station Kund and investigation has been initiated. J&K Police remain committed to enforcing stringent measures against illegal mining to safeguard the environment and natural resources.
