SRINAGAR: Police in Kupwara have seized 02 tippers, JCB and arrested their drivers for involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of mineral. Acting on reliable information, a police party of Police Station Lalpora seized two tippers and a JCB, along with the illegally mined material at Darpora area of Lolab. The accused drivers have also been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 75/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated. J&K Police remain committed to enforcing stringent measures against illegal mining to safeguard the environment and natural resources.
