SRINAGAR: Under the theme “Ek Paed Shahedoun Ke Naam”, Police launched plantation drive in collaboration with Sindh Forest Division in Ganderbal. The plantation drive at Bamloora Park Ganderbal was launched by SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS along with DFO Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal and NOKs of Police Martyrs. Besides, plantation drive was also held at Govt. Higher Secondary School Lar, Govt. High School Chount-Waliwar & Govt. Primary School Kokagund. SP Hqr's Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, DySP DAR Shri Nazir Ahmad, Family members of Police Martyrs, Principal GHSS Lar, Students, Officers & Officials of Police and Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal participated.
On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS highlighted that the initiative is being taken to inculcate the sense of patriotism and responsibility among the citizens towards their motherland, besides creating awareness about the supreme sacrifices of our brave hearts for the sake of the nation. The main aim behind this campaign is to get at least one tree planted in the name of Martyrs and to memorize the sacrifices by the Martyred Police Personnel in line of duty.
