JAMMU: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dr. Devansh Yadav today visited the Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH), Boria Basti. Dr. Devansh Yadav took a comprehensive review of the facility for homeless and inspected the arrangements made for the comfort and well-being of the inmates.

Interacting with the inmates, the Commissioner assured them that all deficient facilities would be provided to ensure that they do not face any inconvenience. He also inquired about the available amenities to make sure that the shelter meets the required standards for its inhabitants. The Commissioner commended the management team for maintaining the shelter Home in excellent condition and providing the inmates with a safe and supportive environment.

As part of the ongoing welfare initiatives, the Medical Mobile Unit of Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, organized a medical camp for the inmates. The camp, which is held weekly, aims to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of the shelter.

Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Dr. Sunita Sharma and other medical staff attended the camp to offer medical assistance and ensure the health needs of the inmates are met. Among others, Deputy Commissioner (South) JMC, Lal Chand, Executive Engineer Mechanical, Sunil Gandotra and other concerned officers accompanied the Commissioner.
