KATHUA: Municipal Council Kathua has clarified that the recent incident of garbage spillage on the road was not due to overloading of the vehicle, as reported by a section of media.
âThe tipper/dumper engaged for shifting garbage to the designated dumping site developed a sudden mechanical fault while in transit, resulting in the vehicle chassis overturning and accidental spillage of garbage on the road,â the Municipal Council reported.
The Municipal Council stated that the matter was attended to immediately and the spilled garbage was cleared by deploying a municipal vehicle, restoring the road to normal condition without delay.
The Municipal Council has accordingly clarified that the incident was caused by a sudden mechanical failure and accidental overturning of the vehicle, and not due to overloading.
