ANANTNAG: In order to enlighten service entrepreneurs about the various schemes available through the Ministry of MSME tailored for the service sector, an Entrepreneurship Awareness Program was today organized by the Br- MSME DFO Srinagar under the Ministry of MSME, in collaboration with the Pahalgam Development Authority and the Hoteliers Association Pahalgam, here.

The CEO of Pahalgam Development Authority, Tariq Hussain emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities to learn and implement the schemes within local enterprises. He assured full support for any initiative that ensures common facilities for hoteliers.

Assistant Director, Saheel Alaqband discussed the significance of the service industry as a key pillar of MSME and provided detailed information on various Ministry schemes aimed at boosting the tourism industry. He underscored the importance of trademarks and encouraged entrepreneurs to prioritize them.

Alaqband also highlighted the MSE CDP scheme for developing common facilities, infrastructure. He said the tailor made capacity development programs for the managerial staff of the hoteliers is the need of hour. Earlier during the welcome address, Javed Burza, President of the Hoteliers Association, expressed appreciation for the initiative and highlighted the importance of MSME support for the hoteliers through its extensive schemes.

Additional detailed insights were provided by Junaid Malik from DIC Anantnag and Mudasir from J&K Bank, who detailed the schemes available through their respective departments/institutes for entrepreneurs. The meeting marked a significant step towards enhancing entrepreneurship and supporting the local service sector.
