In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

DODA: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda conducted an awareness and cleanliness drive at Bhagwa bus stand, under the supervision of ARTO Doda Rajesh Gupta. This initiative is part of the ongoing celebration of the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram event, which commenced on August 1st and will culminate on August 14th, 2024. The district-wide celebration is being directed by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh.

The main objective of today's event was to raise awareness among vehicle operators about the importance of maintaining cleanliness at the bus stand and within their vehicles. Drivers were instructed not to dispose of waste on the roads or inside their vehicles and were encouraged to keep a dustbin in their vehicles for proper waste disposal. The drive aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among drivers and passengers alike, emphasizing the collective effort needed to keep public spaces clean.

The MVD Doda, in collaboration with the Traffic Department, played a crucial role in educating drivers as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram. Additionally, the Transport Union Doda took a leading role in spreading the message of cleanliness among the masses, ensuring that the initiative reached a wider audience.

As part of the Swachhta Pakhwada Sangram event, various activities and programs are being organized across the district to promote cleanliness and hygiene. Schools, community centers, and public offices are actively participating in the campaign, conducting cleanliness drives, workshops, and awareness programs. The collective effort of all stakeholders aims to create a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents of Doda.
