KULGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today presided over a meeting with officers of the Jal Shakti Department to assess the water supply situation in the district.

During the meeting, Officers briefed the chair regarding the current status of water supply across the district. The DC instructed the concerned to increase water tanker services in areas experiencing water shortage.

He stressed officers for mobilization of all available resources to ensure smooth water supply to the people in the district. Furthermore in view of Lok Sabha elections 2024, the DC directed the officers/Engineers of the department to ensure availability of potable drinking water at all polling stations across the district.

He also took stock of the pace of progress on ongoing work projects in the district. ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani; JDP, Zahid Sajjad; Executive Engineers, AEEs and other officers attended the meeting.
