JAMMU: The Delphic Council of J&K (Registered Society) which works for promoting Arts & Culture in J&K, today inaugurated its new zoom series of episodes of Kalaanjali (Art & offerings). Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, Former Minister, J&K and Vice president of BJP was the Chief Guest at DRS, Kids, Gandhinagar, Jammu on the occasion who released the poster of the Kalaanjali and paid tributes to Late Sh. Bishan Dass, Joint Secretary DC, JK who left for the heavenly abode on 7th April. He also appreciated the Delphic Council of J&K for the steps being taken for promoting Art & Culture in the UT.
Er. Ashok Singh, President of the Delphic Council of J&K and Secretary General of Indian Delphic Council apprised Artists of J&K that 26 episodes of the Virasat-e-Jammu & Kashmir were completed successfully wherein Padmashree awardees, Artists, Academicians and Art lovers participated which was a great success and everyone in India appreciated it.
Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, Er. Ashok Singh along with Ms. Vijay Puri and Mr. Shabir Mujahid, Advisors of the Council, Directors, Deputy Directors and other office bearers of the Council paid floral tributes to Late Sh. Bishan Dass ji. A Cultural Programme was also presented by 3 sons of Late Mr. Bishan Dass and Ms. Asha Kesar, renowned Dogri folk Singer who performed the songs sung with Sh. Bishan Dass ji in his memory.
Mr. NN Pandey, President, Indian Delphic Council, Mr. Ramesh Prasana, Secretary General, International Delphic Council, Mr. Ajay Mishra and Ms. Sreya Guha-IAS, President of the Delphic Council of Rajasthan also paid online tributes to Late Sh. Bishan Dass ji and highlighted his achievements for the Delphic Council of J&K.
Mr. Ayash Arif, Vice president, Er. NN Thussu Treasurer, Dr.Gharo Choudhary, Mr. Vinod Verma, Dr. Anila Singh, Ms. Sheetal Verma (AD Media), Mr. Ajeet Singh, Managing Director of DRS Kids and more than hundred Artists of J&K also paid tributes and highlighted the achievements of Late Mr. Bishan Dass ji.
Dr. Amrish Sarup Kohli, Assistant Professor, GMC Kathua moderated the event who threw light on the importance of the Kalaanjali which shall be a fortnightly zoom episode wherein, other States of India will also participate in it and a platform shall be provided to the Artists of J&K in India through Kalaanjali to showcase their talent.
The vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Vijay Puri, Delphic Advisor & Mr. NN Thussu who thanked the Chief guest and Artists on release of the poster of Kalaanjali and for offering floral tributes to Late Sh. Bishan Dass ji. They also thanked Mr. Ajeet Singh for providing DRS Kids School for the event.
