UDHAMPUR: An Anti drug awareness campaign was today organized by the 137 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with SIKS Government Model Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur. The event witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries, including MLA Udhampur West, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Padma Shree Shiv Nirmohi, SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure, Additional SP Sandeep Bhat, Dr Sumer Khajuria renowned writer, Narinder Suri Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Principal Manoj Kumar Jad Rohit Sethi, Varinder Badyal and Commandant of 137 Battalion CRPF, Manoj Kumar Sicon.

The campaign was aimed at creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.  MLA Udhmapur West Pawan Kumar Gupta spoke on the pressing need for collective action to eradicate substance abuse and urged the youth to stay away from drugs. Padma Shree Shiv Nirmohi motivated the audience with his powerful message, emphasizing the importance of moral and cultural values in building a drug-free society.

SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure and Addl. SP Udhampur Sandeep Bhat shared their perspectives on law enforcement’s role in combating drug abuse and encouraged community collaboration. The CEO stressed the role of education in preventing youth from falling into the trap of addiction. Commandant Manoj Kumar Sicon represented the 137 Battalion CRPF and reaffirmed the battalion’s commitment to conducting more such awareness campaigns. He highlighted the importance of community involvement and inspired participants with his encouraging words. The event included cultural performances, poster exhibitions and informative speeches, which were well-received by the students, teachers, and local citizens.
