JAMMU: Continuing its commitment to social service, the All J&K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha (AJKGRS) organised a mega multispecialty medical camp at Gurdwara premises, Krishna Nagar, on the sidelines of its monthly Satsang.
The camp was supervised by the Managing Committee of the Sabha and inaugurated by Romesh Uttama, former Additional District Development Commissioner, along with senior social activist Tulsi Langeh. Sabha President Er. R.C. Bhasin, General Secretary Tarsem Loach, and other committee members were also present. Logistical support for the camp was provided by Diva International Foundation and Devinder Kour Charitable Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Romesh Uttama highlighted that such medical camps provide much-needed relief to economically weaker sections and elderly citizens amid rising healthcare costs. Tulsi Langeh appreciated the Sabhaās efforts in social, religious, and educational spheres and extended his best wishes for its future initiatives.
A team of doctors led by Sanjay Kumar Bhasin, a renowned laparoscopic surgeon, along with specialists from 11 different fields, provided free medical services to 217 patients. Services were offered in areas including medicine, oncology, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, dentistry, Ayurveda, homeopathy, surgery, and physiotherapy. Additionally, 110 patients benefited from basic medical tests and vision screening, including eye care services by expert specialists.
Er. R.C. Bhasin expressed gratitude to the supporting organisations and medical team, reaffirming the Sabhaās commitment to continue welfare activities for the community. He announced upcoming initiatives, including a blood donation camp, career counselling sessions, and specialised health camps.
Prominent members who participated in the camp were Prof. G.L Thapa, Prof. C.L Shivgotra, Tara Chand, Kuldeep Thapa, Bodh Raj Kalsi, Er. Madan Basson, M.R. Bangotra, Krishan Sarangal, Rangesh Hans, Ashok Basson, Des Raj Sarangal, and many others.
