JAMMU: Senior Raman Suri, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, today described the annual Amarnath Yatra as a deeply spiritual and divine experience that every devotee should undertake at least once in their lifetime. Highlighting the unprecedented enthusiasm among pilgrims, he expressed strong confidence that this year’s Yatra will surpass all previous records especially when lakhs of devotees have already registered themselves through hundreds of designated bank branches across the country ever since the registration process commenced.

Raman Suri said that this reflects devotees' unflinching faith and eagerness to undertake the sacred Amarnath Yatra. He said, “The massive response witnessed during the initial days of registration itself speaks volumes about the devotion of devotees from across the country”. “This growing participation is a testament to the spiritual connection people have with the holy cave shrine,” he stated.

He further noted that the extended duration of the Yatra this year will play a crucial role in accommodating a larger number of pilgrims. “With more days allocated for the pilgrimage, we are optimistic that a record-breaking number of devotees will pay obeisance at the holy shrine. The enthusiasm this year is unprecedented,” he added.

Emphasizing the transformation of Jammu Kashmir into a hub of spiritual tourism, Raman Suri said that continuous improvements in infrastructure, enhanced road connectivity, and better facilities have made the Yatra more accessible than ever before. “Facilities such as improved lodging arrangements, medical services, and helicopter services have significantly eased the journey for pilgrims, encouraging greater participation,” he said.

Raman Suri also urged all devotees to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB). “It is imperative for all pilgrims to follow safety protocols and instructions laid down by the authorities. This will ensure their safety and enable them to undertake the Yatra smoothly and comfortably, making their spiritual journey truly fulfilling,” he emphasized.

He appreciated the relentless efforts of the administration, security forces, and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the Yatra every year. “Their dedication and commitment are instrumental in the successful conduct of this sacred pilgrimage,” he remarked. Raman Suri extended his heartfelt wishes to all pilgrims and expressed hope that Amarnath Yatra 2026 will not only set new records in terms of participation but also provide a deeply enriching and divine spiritual experience to every devotee undertaking the sacred journey.
