ANANTNAG: In a decisive and mission-driven initiative towards fostering a drug-free society, a series of Awareness Programmes cum Nukkad Natak Presentations were successfully organized across various Educational Institutions of District Anantnag.

The initiative witnessed overwhelming participation from students, teachers, and members of the local community, reflecting a strong collective resolve to combat the growing menace of drug abuse. The programmes served as a dynamic platform to educate, sensitize, and mobilize young minds and society at large.

Through compelling awareness sessions, thought-provoking Nukkad Natak performances, and solemn pledge-taking ceremonies, participants effectively conveyed powerful messages on the dangers of drug addiction, the importance of informed choices, and the need for community vigilance. The street plays, in particular, captivated audiences and left a lasting impact by portraying real-life consequences of substance abuse and the path towards recovery and responsible living.

The initiative stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the School Education Department, Anantnag, in nurturing a safe, aware, and resilient generation. It also underscores the importance of collaborative community engagement in addressing social challenges and safeguarding the future of youth.

Such sustained efforts reaffirm the department’s dedication to creating a protective and empowering educational environment, while actively contributing to the larger vision of a healthy, drug-free society.
