In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

SAMBA:  Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan today inaugurated a state-of-the-art crèche facility at the DC Office Complex, Nandhni hills, marking a significant milestone in creating a women-friendly and inclusive work environment in the district.

Established and to be managed by the District Red Cross Society, the crèche has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, hygienic and child-friendly space equipped with toys, storybooks and learning materials that ensure playful and creative engagement for children of employees.

Speaking at the inauguration event, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that this initiative represents a meaningful step toward enabling working parents, particularly mothers, to balance their professional and family responsibilities effectively by reducing child care concerns during office hours. She highlighted that the facility not only offers peace of mind to parents but also contributes positively to the physical, emotional and cognitive development of children through early learning and social interaction in a nurturing environment.

The Deputy Commissioner commended the District Red Cross Society for their dedicated efforts in bringing this vision to life and expressed confidence that the crèche would foster a more supportive workplace culture, ultimately enhancing productivity and employee well-being across the district administration. The facility stands as a testament to the administration’s commitment to progressive policies that recognize and address the real-world challenges faced by working women, setting a benchmark for other government offices in the region. The inauguration was attended by ADC Samba, Jagdish Singh, ACR Samba, Ajay Bharti and other district officers.
