BANDIPORA: In a vibrant display of community participation and goodwill, the 27 Assam Rifles of Indian Army organized an engaging Snow Festival at Kiatson village, bringing together residents from surrounding villages including Ducky, Dangarnar, Chechinar, and Chuntawadi.  The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers of all age groups and served as a meaningful platform for strengthening ties between security forces and the local population.

The picturesque snow-covered landscape of the village transformed into a lively cultural arena as local children presented colorful traditional dance performances, drawing warm appreciation from the audience.

The festival also featured a series of traditional sporting activities, including tug of war and kabaddi, which saw spirited participation from youth, women, and elders alike. The friendly competitions created an atmosphere of excitement and camaraderie, encouraging community interaction and collective celebration.

As part of its continued outreach efforts to promote sports and youth development in remote areas, the organizing unit presented a volleyball net to the village youth, motivating them to actively engage in sporting activities and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The gesture was widely appreciated by villagers, who expressed gratitude for the continued support and engagement initiatives undertaken for their welfare.

The festival concluded with refreshments for all participants, leaving behind an atmosphere of joy, unity, and shared celebration. Events such as these not only provide moments of happiness and recreation for remote communities but also reinforce trust, cooperation, and mutual understanding, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the security forces toward community welfare and inclusive development in the region.
