In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

JAMMU: NSS Unit of Government Degree College Sunderbani organized an awareness rally on the theme "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha" to observe Road Safety Month and raise awareness about road safety among the public. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff. During the rally, students highlighted critical aspects of road safety, such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, adhering to speed limits, and avoiding the use of mobile phones while driving.

The participants also interacted with local residents, distributing pamphlets and sharing valuable tips on minimizing road accidents and saving lives. The event was part of the college's ongoing commitment towards social responsibility and fostering community awareness. A notable highlight of the rally was the students' effort to raise awareness about traffic signals and their significance in preventing road accidents.

They displayed informative placards explaining the meaning of various traffic signals and emphasized the need for strict adherence to these rules. The rally concluded with a pledge by the participants to follow and promote road safety rules, reinforcing the theme of "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha." The initiative was widely appreciated by the local community and is expected to contribute significantly to fostering a culture of road safety in the region.
