DODA: The staff and students of Government Higher Secondary School Gandoh organized an awareness rally focusing on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Road Safety. The initiative formed part of the ongoing district-wide campaign in Doda, including the Divisional Level Mega Awareness Programme held earlier in April 2026, aimed at sensitizing the public about critical social and safety concerns.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff and the general public, reflecting a strong spirit of collective responsibility. Marching through the main streets and markets of Gandoh, the participants carried placards and raised impactful slogans such as āSay No to Drugs,ā effectively engaging locals and shopkeepers.
During the programme, emphasis was laid on educating people, especially youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse on health, families and society at large. Simultaneously, awareness regarding road safety was promoted under the theme āSadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha,ā highlighting the importance of traffic discipline, use of helmets, seat belts adherence to road safety norms to prevent accidents. A pledge ceremony was also conducted, wherein students and staff committed themselves to remain drug-free and to act as responsible citizens and ambassadors of change.
