• Continuous encouragement for the use of Hindi at the University under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain

JAMMU: As part of Hindi Fortnight-2026 being organized at the Central University of Jammu, a Hindi Dictation Competition was held today for the employees of the University. The objective of the competition was to develop an interest in Hindi among employees and encourage their skills in listening, writing, spelling, and linguistic accuracy.

Employees of the University participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. The participants were given a prescribed passage for dictation, on the basis of which their performance was evaluated with regard to spelling accuracy, language usage, and writing skills.

The University is laying special emphasis on promoting the practical use of Hindi in day-to-day official work and academic activities, rather than limiting its use to the period of Hindi Fortnight. With the encouragement and guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, a positive environment for the use of Hindi has been fostered at the University, with employees and students participating enthusiastically in various Hindi-related activities.

The Hindi Dictation Competition provided employees with an opportunity to practice accurate and effective writing in Hindi. The active participation of the employees also reflected their enthusiasm and interest in the language.

As part of Hindi Fortnight-2026, various literary, creative, and Official Language-related competitions are being organized for the employees and students of the University. Through these activities, the University is promoting greater interest in Hindi while encouraging the effective and practical use of Hindi as the Official Language.
