RAMBAN: In continuation of its efforts to empower local youth through education and skill development, the 12 Rashtriya Rifles (GRENADIERS) successfully organised an IT Literacy Cadre at ACSA Computer Centre, Banihal. The programme was conducted for 20 male and female students from the surrounding areas.

The IT literacy cadre aimed at enhancing basic computer knowledge and digital awareness among students, enabling them to keep pace with the rapidly evolving technological environment. During the course, students were imparted training on fundamental computer operations, use of MS Office applications, basic internet usage, email communication and cyber safety.

The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Army officers, instructors and staff of ACSA Computer Centre. Addressing the students, the Army representatives highlighted the importance of digital literacy in today’s competitive world and encouraged the youth to make constructive use of technology for education and self-employment.

The students actively participated in the training sessions and expressed gratitude towards the Indian Army for providing such a valuable learning opportunity. The cadre concluded with a brief closing ceremony, during which certificates were distributed to the participants. The Indian Army will continue such initiatives towards nation-building, youth empowerment and strengthening civil-military relations in the region.
