GANDERBAL: J&K Police in Ganderbal concluded the Grand Knockout T20 Cricket Tournament, organised under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), with a grand finale at Qamariya Stadium, Ganderbal.

The tournament, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and positive engagement with youth, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 64 teams from across the district. The grand finale was played between Lions Ganderbal and Valley Star Greens, with Lions Ganderbal emerging victorious with a huge margin of 89 runs.

SSP Ganderbal Shri Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS chaired the concluding ceremony. DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal Dr. Urfan-JKPS, other senior police officers & families of Police Martyrs were also present on the occasion.

The officers congratulated the winning and runner-up teams and appreciated all participating teams for displaying exemplary sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.  At the conclusion, both the winner and runner-up teams, including man of the tournament and man of the match were felicitated with suitable cash prizes, trophies and appreciation certificates.

The successful conduct of the tournament reflects J&K Police’s continued efforts to strengthen Police-Public relations, youth engagement and community participation through sports.
