In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

BARAMULLA: Continuing its sustained campaign against narcotics under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police conducted a comprehensive wild cannabis (bhung) destruction drive at multiple locations across the district Baramulla.

Police teams carried out the drive in the Kunzer area along the Utikoo–Hardaboora and Wussan–Karhama road stretches, where wild cannabis plants growing along the roadside were identified and destroyed. A similar drive was also conducted in the Delina area, during which wild cannabis plants found growing at various locations were uprooted and destroyed.

The operation was undertaken to prevent the misuse of wild cannabis and forms part of Police's sustained efforts to eradicate narcotic substances from the district and promote a drug-free society.

Police remains steadfast in its commitment to combating the drug menace through continuous enforcement and awareness initiatives. The public is urged to support the campaign by reporting any instances of illegal cultivation or drug-related activities to the nearest police establishment.
