SHOPIAN: As part of its ongoing public outreach programme, Police in Shopian organised “Thana Diwas” across the district. The meeting was chaired by the concerned jurisdictional officer in presence of Supervisory officer and witnessed active participation from public representatives, members of trade associations and other respected citizens of the areas.
During the interaction, participants raised various issues of public importance. The officers assured that all genuine grievances related to police matters would be addressed on priority, while issues concerning other departments would be taken up with the relevant authorities for prompt redressal.
Thana Diwas is an initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir aimed at strengthening police-public relations and ensuring timely resolution of public grievances through regular and meaningful interaction.
