SHOPIAN: In continuation of its sustained efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse from society, Police in Shopian in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School Keller and Government Higher Secondary School Imamsahib, organized comprehensive drug awareness rallies in Keller and Imamsahib areas of the district.

The rallies commenced from the premises of respective institutions and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teaching staff and police personnel. Carrying placards and raising slogans against drug abuse, the participants spread a strong message highlighting the ill effects of narcotics and the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life.

The rallies passed through various localities of Keller and Imamsahib areas aiming to sensitize the general public especially the youth about the harmful consequences of drug addiction and the need for collective action to combat this growing social menace.

During the event, speakers emphasized the importance of awareness early intervention and community participation in eliminating drug abuse. They urged the youth to stay away from drugs and contribute positively towards building a safer and healthier society. J&K Police remains committed to its mission of a drug-free society and will continue to organize such awareness programmes under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
