AWANTIPORA: As part of the ongoing year-long programme dedicated to honouring the life, vision, and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, J&K Police organised a Quiz Competition at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Pampore, and conducted a Cleanliness Drive at Jwala Ji Temple and the Shrine of Hazrat Sharief ud Din Wali (Shok Bab sahib) Namblabal Pampore.

The quiz competition aimed to enhance students’ awareness about Patel’s pivotal role in India’s freedom movement, his leadership in integrating more than 560 princely states into the Indian Union, and his lasting contribution to national unity and integrity. Students participated with great enthusiasm, displaying commendable knowledge and patriotic spirit.

The cleanliness drive focused on promoting civic sense, hygiene, and respect for public and religious spaces. Police personnel, students, and local volunteers actively took part in cleaning the temple and shrine premises, spreading awareness about maintaining cleanliness in public places and preserving the sanctity of religious sites.

SHO Police Station Pampore along with school staff, students, and local volunteers, were present on the occasion. The officers appreciated the participants for their active involvement and encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from Patel’s values of discipline, unity, and service to the nation. Participation certificates were distributed to the participants of the quiz competition.

J&K Police reaffirmed its commitment to continue organising such educational, cultural, and community-oriented initiatives throughout the year-long programme to spread awareness about the monumental role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in strengthening the nation.
