AWANTIPORA: The School of Sciences, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), recently commenced its School-level lecture series to promote academic dialogue and contemporary research. The inaugural lecture was held on “Chemotherapy Response in the Context of Intra-Tumour Heterogeneity: A Single Cell Perspective.”

The session was delivered by Dr. Suhail Yousuf, Coordinator, Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences, wherein he highlighted recent insights into tumour heterogeneity and its implications for chemotherapy, with a focus on single-cell analysis for advancing cancer research and treatment strategies.

The session witnessed active participation from faculty members and research scholars of the School of Sciences and the School of Health Sciences. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mohd Ayub Qadri, Dean, School of Health Sciences, emphasized the importance of integrating research with patient care, while Prof. Mohammad Farooq Mir, Head, Department of Zoology, highlighted recent advancements in cancer research in India.
