In loving memory of Dr. Priya Ranjan: A mentor who treated me like family

THATHRI: A Mega Free Medical Aid-cum-Awareness Camp was organized at Dandasan Mata Mandir (Bolian Rokali) in Medical Block Thathri under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Vinod Sharma and Block Medical Officer Thathri Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Kichloo. The camp witnessed an overwhelming response from devotees and locals, who availed themselves of a wide range of free healthcare services.

During the camp, as many as 400 patients were screened by a team of doctors and provided with free Allopathic and AYUSH medicines as per their medical needs. Essential diagnostic tests, including Blood Sugar and Hemoglobin (Hb) screening were also carried out for early detection and timely treatment of health conditions.

An awareness session under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was also organized during the camp. The participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of substance abuse, the importance of leading a drug free life and the need for collective community efforts to eradicate the menace of drug addiction. The public was encouraged to actively support the campaign by spreading awareness and promoting healthy lifestyle practices.

The medical team included Dr. Sadeeq Wani (MO), Dr Ikhlaq Hussain (MO RBSK), Dr. Anamika (MO RBSK), Anil Singh (Lab Tech), Pooja Devi (FMPHW), Akshay Kumar (MMPHW) and Balwant Singh (Rtd Head Phst), who ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the camp.

The initiative was widely appreciated by the local community, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude to the Health Department for organizing the camp and providing quality healthcare services at their doorstep.
