JAMMU: The Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu, celebrated National Broadcasting Day with great enthusiasm and reverence under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The event underscored the enduring significance of radio and broadcasting in India’s media landscape.

The session was gracefully hosted by Ms. Pushplata, and Head of Department, Mr. Abhay S.D. Rajput extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Prof. Paramveer Singh, a renowned media academician, delivered an insightful address, highlighting the historic and contemporary importance of radio broadcasting in shaping public opinion, promoting education, and fostering community engagement.

Adding vibrancy to the event, Team Top FM joined as special guests, including RJ Pallavi, RJ Aryan, Station Head Neeraj, and Abhishek Gupta. They interacted with the students and faculty, sharing real-world experiences from the field of radio and elaborating on its evolving role in the digital age.

The event witnessed active participation from students and scholars of the department. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Manish Prakash, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries, guests, and attendees. Dr. Rashid Ali was also present and appreciated the efforts behind the event.

The successful organization of the program was managed by dedicated research scholars Aditya Negi, Sunaina Harit, Sujata Behera, and Neha Singh, along with enthusiastic support from the student community of CU Jammu.
