BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla conducted a comprehensive market checking drive at Gulmarg in coordination with the Tehsildar Gulmarg/Tangmarg, aimed at ensuring adherence to public health, hygiene and regulatory norms.
During the checking, various shops and commercial establishments were inspected. Prohibited polythene material and expired items were detected and seized, while fines were realised from violators for violations of prescribed norms.
The drive was carried out to safeguard public health, promote cleanliness and ensure that consumers are not exposed to unsafe or substandard products. Police reaffirm that strict enforcement action will continue against violations affecting public health, hygiene and environmental standards.
