GANDERBAL: Rajbhasha Cell, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) organised the valedictory function of Hindi Diwas and Hindi Pakhwara-2026 at Tulmulla Campus here on Tuesday.
Addressing the participants, Registrar, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir hailed the university employees for their proficiency in Hindi and encouraged them to continue enhancing their linguistic and drafting skills. He emphasised that familiarity with Hindi facilitates communication across different parts of the country and enables people to navigate everyday situations with greater ease.
âProficiency in Hindi is a valuable asset in official working. Initiatives such as Hindi Pakhwara provide employees with an opportunity to strengthen their language skills, improve their drafting abilities and become more confident in using Hindi for administrative purposes,â Dr. Mir said.
Highlighting the significance of learning Hindi, he observed that knowledge of the language is particularly useful while travelling across India, where road signs, public instructions and other essential information are frequently displayed in Hindi. He encouraged the staff members to make sustained efforts to improve their command of the language and apply their learning in professional and everyday contexts. Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir also distributed the prizes among the competition winners.
Earlier, Hindi Adhikari, Dr. Sakina Akhter, gave an overview of the activities undertaken by the Rajbhasha Cell and explained the objectives behind organising the fortnight-long programme. She said the competitions were designed to enhance employeesâ familiarity with administrative terminology, improve written expression and encourage accuracy in official noting and drafting.
