REASI: Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, the District Registering Authority (Health Department) today conducted an enforcement drive against private clinical establishments to ensure compliance with the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010.

A joint team comprising the Chief Medical Officer, Reasi, the Medical Superintendent, district monitoring officers and Police personnel inspected private diagnostic centres in the district. During the inspection, M/s Barotra Diagnostics Laboratory and M/s Durga Diagnostics Laboratory, Reasi, were found operating with expired registrations.

The team also found an unauthorised display board advertising consultation/OPD services at Barotra Diagnostics Laboratory. Taking serious note of the violations and non-compliance with earlier notices, the authority ordered the immediate closure of both laboratories and imposed a penalty of ₹10,000 on each establishment.

The proprietors were directed to stop all operations until valid registration is renewed. The District Administration reiterated that strict action will be taken against unregistered clinical establishments to safeguard public health and patient safety.
