KISHTWAR: In a significant step towards enhancing maternal and child health, Sankalp HEW Kishtwar under the directions of DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed, conducted an awareness session in collaboration with ICDS at PO ICDS New DC Office Complex Kishtwar.

This session aimed at educating pregnant and lactating mothers about the importance of nutrition and adequate rest before childbirth. The primary objectives of this session are Educating Mothers on Nutrition, emphasising the need for rest and creating awareness on health practices.

Sankalp team discussed the objectives of PMMVY Schemes to provide cash incentive for partial compensation for the wage loss so that the women can take adequate rest before and after child birth and to improve health seeking behaviour amongst the Pregnant women and lactating mothers.

The collaborative effort by SANKALP-HEW and ICDS marks a significant stride in promoting maternal and child health. By focusing on the critical aspects of nutrition and rest, this awareness session aim to ensure healthier outcomes for mothers and their babies, contributing to the overall well-being of communities.
