GANDERBAL: With a view to assessing the functioning of Legal Aid Clinics and ensuring effective delivery of legal aid services at the grassroots level, the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, conducted an inspection of the Legal Aid Clinics functioning under the jurisdiction of district Ganderbal.
During the inspection, the Secretary visited the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Kangan, Village Legal Care & Support Centre (VLC&SC), Gund, and the Legal Aid Clinic, Manigam, Thune. The inspection focused on the overall functioning of the clinics, maintenance of statutory registers, visitors' registers and other records, availability of legal awareness material, display of information relating to free legal aid services, and accessibility of legal aid facilities to eligible beneficiaries.
The Secretary also interacted with the Para Legal Volunteers and other functionaries associated with the Legal Aid Clinics.
