SHOPIAN: In order to enhance the investigative skills and legal knowledge of Investigation Officers dealing with narcotics-related cases, three-day training programme on the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was organized at the District Training Centre, DPL Shopian.

The programme was specifically designed for Investigation Officers from various police stations of the district. The training aimed at strengthening their professional competence in handling NDPS cases effectively and in strict accordance with legal provisions.

During the three days course, subject experts elaborated on key aspects of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, including registration of cases, search & seizure procedures, proper documentation, preservation of evidence, forensic coordination and preparation of charge sheets.
