SRINAGAR: The three-day annual Urs of Syed Soliha Khansahib (RA) concluded on Tuesday at Khansahib, Budgam, with thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir gathering to pay obeisance and offer special prayers at the revered shrine.

The annual religious congregation witnessed a massive participation of devotees, religious scholars, spiritual leaders, and followers who thronged the shrine over the three days. Devotees took part in spiritual gatherings, recitation of Darood-o-Azkar, religious sermons, and special supplications held during the Urs.

The shrine premises remained filled with devotion and reverence as people prayed for peace, prosperity, brotherhood, and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Urs is regarded as one of the significant spiritual gatherings in the region and attracts devotees from various districts of Kashmir every year. The event provided an opportunity for people to reconnect with the teachings of saints and Sufi traditions that emphasize compassion, tolerance, humility, and service to humanity.

Patron of Syed Soliha Khansahib (RA) Trust, former Minister and President of People’s Democratic Front, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, along with Trust President Hakeem Mohammad Ashraf, attended the concluding day of the Urs and interacted with devotees and organizers.

On the occasion, they expressed gratitude to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Office, District Administration Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir Police, health services, municipal authorities, and other sister departments for their support in ensuring smooth arrangements and the peaceful conduct of the annual congregation.

They appreciated the coordinated efforts of all departments in managing security, traffic regulation, sanitation, medical facilities, and other essential services for the convenience of devotees.

Speaking on the occasion, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen prayed for the well-being of the people of Kashmir and emphasized the importance of preserving the spiritual legacy of saints and Sufis. He said the teachings of saints continue to guide society toward peace, unity, and mutual respect.

He urged people, especially the younger generation, to follow the path of spirituality, moral values, and brotherhood, stating that the message of Sufism remains highly relevant in promoting social harmony and strengthening communal bonds in present times.
