JAMMU: The International Centre for Cross Cultural Research & Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, organized an industrial visit for the students of MBA (International Business) Semester II as part of their curriculum titled “Industrial Immersion Programme/Social Community Connect” to Varun Beverages Ltd. (PepsiCo Franchise Manufacturing Plant) located at Beradhani, Kathua.

The visit was arranged with the objective of providing students with insight into the internal working of industry and practical learning in a real working environment. During the visit, the students were taken on a guided tour of the facilities of Varun Beverages Ltd., which is a key player in the beverage industry and one of the largest franchisees of PepsiCo in the world (outside the USA). The students observed production processes, supply chain management, and corporate operations. The management of the unit shared valuable insights into the functioning of the unit.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the students to interact with the employees of the unit. Through these discussions, the students gained a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by the industry at both national and international levels. Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, expressed satisfaction and reiterated the need for organizing such visits to provide real-time exposure and corporate understanding to the students, which will help them navigate their career paths effectively. Dr. Parul Mahajan, Dr. Neha Gupta, and Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, faculty members at ICccR & HRM, accompanied the students and coordinated the event.
