POONCH: World Health Day was observed with great enthusiasm in Aspirational Block Mankote under the guidance of District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma and under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan.
Aligned with the global theme âTogether for Health: Stand with Scienceâ, the event witnessed active participation from the Health Department and ICDS functionaries, with strong community mobilization through ASHA and Anganwadi Workers.
The programme was strategically facilitated and coordinated at the block level by ABP Fellow Ajaz Ahmed, who played a key role in planning, convergence and on-ground execution of activities.
During the programme, comprehensive awareness was generated on the National Health and ICDS initiatives, with a focused emphasis on preventive healthcare, nutrition and strengthening village-level diagnostic services.
The medical team present on the occasion included Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Dr. Rabnawaz Khan, Dr. Sultana Ajaz, Mohd Yasin (Health Educator), Imtiaz Ahmed (Pharmacist), and Shazia Malik (ANM), who actively contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
A series of awareness sessions and health screening activities were conducted, reaffirming the administrationâs commitment towards ensuring accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services for all.
