DODA: An awareness event with an interactive session was conducted in the conference hall of ANMT School Doda to observe the World Suicide Prevention Day. The event was organised by the District Health Society and graced by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Om Kumar and attended by Principal ANMT Anusuya Bhan, Mohammad Shafi Attu, Mohd Faheem Butt, Sanjeev Rana, staff of CMO/Dy. CMO Office besides students of ANMT Doda.

The programme, themed ā€œChanging the narrative start the conversationā€ was aimed to raise awareness and educate students on the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. The CMO, while interacting with the students, emphasized stress management and had an interactive session on the subject. The target audience was the students of the ANMT School Doda. The students discussed the issues troubling them.

The interactive session encouraged students to share their thoughts and concerns, providing a safe space for discussion. There was a unanimous opinion that the stakeholders should follow National Suicide Prevention Strategy in letter and spirit which is based on WHO recommended model. The event marked a significant step towards promoting mental health awareness and encouraging youngsters to prioritize their well-being.
