RAMBAN: Hassina Begum, a widow living in Panchayat Gandhri, Block Gandhri, had been living in a dilapidated hut with her family for years. The fragile structure offered little protection from the elements, and the fear of it collapsing weighed heavily on her mind.

But her life took a transformative turn when she was selected under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme. With the assistance of the scheme, Hassina Begum was able to construct a sturdy and safe home, providing a secure future for herself and her family.

The PMAY-G scheme not only provided Hassina Begum with a permanent home but also restored her dignity and sense of security. She expressed her gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to the government for this initiative. My new home has given me a new lease on life, and I can now live without fear of the elements or the threat of my hut collapsing."

Hassina Begum's story is a testament to the impact of PMAY-G in empowering women and strengthening communities. By providing affordable housing, the scheme has not only improved living conditions but also enabled women like Hassina Begum to live with dignity and pride. This success story highlights the transformative power of PMAY-G in improving lives and strengthening communities.
