RAMBAN: District Social Welfare Department Ramban, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today organized a one-day inter-college awareness workshop on “Initiatives Towards Entrepreneurship” as part of the ongoing nationwide Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign at Government Degree College (GDC), Ramban.
The workshop witnessed active participation from students and faculty of Government Degree Colleges in Ramban, Batote, Banihal and Ukhral. The event was presided over by Additional District Development Commissioner, Roshan Lal in presence of Principal GDC Ramban Archana Koul. Coordinated by District Social Welfare Officer Rahul Gupta, the workshop featured insights from resource persons including Prof. Arjun Gupta, Agriculture Extension Officer Puneet Gandotra and Tourism Officer Zahiruddin Naik.
The ADDC highlighted the significance of entrepreneurship in achieving self-reliance and fostering economic growth. He encouraged the students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by various government schemes to create sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He emphasized the importance of skill development, innovation and a proactive mindset in building successful entrepreneurial ventures, urging the youth to align their aspirations with the resources and support systems available.
The speakers highlighted various government-sponsored schemes aimed at supporting unemployed youth to establish their own start-ups. They emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in building self-reliance and provided detailed information on financial assistance and guidance available through their respective departments. Participants were encouraged to explore entrepreneurial opportunities while pursuing their studies or after graduation, contributing to the vision of a self-reliant India.
