DODA: To review the implementation of key health programmes, a team of the State Health Society, National Health Mission (NHM) J&K today visited District Doda. The mentoring and monitoring team was headed by Dr Jatinder Mehta, Programme Manager NHM J&K and comprised of Dr Mir Mohammad Iqbal, Programme Manager NHM J&K, Dr Younis Mushtaq, APM NHM J&K and Dr Mudasir Majeed, WHO Consultant.

The team convened a district level review meeting at the District Hqr, which was attended by local Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tanveer A Rather, Dy Chief Medical Officer, Dr S L Manhas, DHO/DTO, Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, besides BMOs, staff of the DPMU, BPMUs and other officials of the department. At the outset, the CMO welcomed the visiting team and delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting programme wise work done and achievements in the district.

Meanwhile, the visiting team also called on Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, at his office and apprised him about the purpose of the visit and the health programmes being implemented in the district. Later, the team visited AAM Sub Centre Drudhu and SDH Bhaderwah to review the on ground functioning of health programmes and interacted with the staff to assess service delivery and programme implementation.
