RAMBAN: Pogali Bazm-e-Adab J&K organized a one-day Mushaira and Cultural Convention, celebrating the linguistic and cultural heritage of Pogali, Kashmiri, Gojari, and Zundhari languages. The event brought together poets, singers, and dignitaries from across the district.
The program was graced by Chief Guest Chairperson DDC Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan, and Guest of Honor DDC Member Renuka Katoch, along with other dignitaries, including Bashir Ahmed Naik, Karleep Singh Bali, Adv. Swarn Kishore, and Ch. Haji Yousaf Manjnu.
Renowned singers like Dilbag Singh, Ronak Singh Thakur, and Bhar Banihali captivated the audience with their performances, while celebrated poets such as Ch. Yousaf Rahi and Mumtaaz Ahmed Mumtaaz enthralled with their literary recitations. A special ceremony honored 30 founding members of Pogali Bazm-e-Adab and awarded certificates of appreciation to poets and singers for their contributions to regional culture.
In her address, Dr. Shamshad Shan applauded the organizing team, led by President Gulzubair Daing, for promoting cultural awareness and addressing social issues. She assured her efforts for establishing an Art and Cultural Academy sub-branch and constructing an auditorium at Ramban headquarters.
The event was efficiently managed by President Gulzubair Daing, Chairman Abdul Latif Bulbul, and Program Organizer Nadeem Iqbal Katoch, with support from NGOs Umeed and Bait-ul-Maal Ramban. Plans for a mega cultural program to engage the youth and address societal challenges were also announced.
