RAMBAN: As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ramban, in collaboration with the Health Department, organized a free medical camp exclusively for the driver community. The camp held at Koubagh Ground under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, focused on promoting the health and well-being of drivers, who play a vital role in ensuring road safety. Medical professionals conducted comprehensive health check-ups of the drivers, including blood pressure and blood sugar tests, and provided free consultations. Additionally, necessary medications were distributed to attendees at no cost.
Addressing the gathering, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Sheetal Sharma highlighted the importance of the initiative, stating "Road safety begins with healthy and alert drivers. Through this medical camp, we aim to support their health and encourage a safer driving environment for all." The event witnessed the active participation of over 180 drivers and conductors, who expressed gratitude for the effort to address their health concerns as part of Road Safety Month.
