KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess and resolve various land-related issues pertaining to Defense establishments in the district.

During the meeting, the DC took a detailed appraisal of matters concerning identification, verification, demarcation, and record updation of Defense land. Emphasis was laid on expeditious disposal of pending cases through close coordination between the civil administration, Defense authorities, and revenue officials.

The DC stressed the importance of maintaining accurate land records and ensuring timely resolution of issues to facilitate smooth functioning of Defense establishments while safeguarding public and government interests. Officers were directed to adhere strictly to established procedures and timelines, and to submit periodic progress reports.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; concerned Tehsildars, besides officers and representatives from the Defense authorities.
